Description
First time in New Zealand, the incredibly rare Captive Bred Gulf Blenny!
The Gulf Blenny is one of the most sought after of the Ecsenius species. Originating from Oman, this blenny is not often seen in the aquarium trade, with this shipment the first for this species for EMA.
Treat the Gulf Blenny as you would a Ecsenius Blenny, by providing a medium-sized reef tank with lots of rock to perch on and hide in, as well as algae for grazing, and non-boisterous, non territorial tankmates. Being aquacultured these are already taking pellet foods which can be supplemented with frozen Brineshrimp and Mysis. They attain a maximum length of four inches/10cm.
Stripes on their tails will develop in males, at maturity. Sexing this species while juveniles isn’t possible. Current stock is juvenile stage.
Proudly Captive Bred in the United States of America.
