The tentacles are in constant, gentle motion, creating a mesmerizing display that is a favorite among aquarists.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor proper care, Euphyllia glabrescens requires moderate lighting, with a PAR range of approximately 75-150. Water flow should be moderate and indirect; too much direct flow can prevent the polyps from fully extending and may cause tissue damage. It is best placed in the lower to middle sections of the tank on a stable rock. While this coral is photosynthetic, it will benefit from target feeding once or twice a week with meaty foods like mysis shrimp or specialized LPS pellets. Maintain stable water parameters with calcium between 400-450 ppm, alkalinity at 8-12 dKH, and magnesium at 1250-1350 ppm. Torch corals a very aggressive and known for their long sweeper tentacles, which can sting and damage neighboring corals, so be sure to provide at least 6-8 inches of space around it.
