Their surface can present a wide array of patterns, sometimes with concentric rings or contrasting margins, giving each colony a unique appearance. The oral discs are typically quite prominent. The coral forms large, heavy skeletons as it grows, which can be encrusting or form solid domes, reflecting its robust nature on the reef.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor care, Lobo Corals appreciate moderate lighting, ideally between 75 and 150 PAR. They prefer moderate, indirect water flow to keep their surfaces clean without irritating the polyps. Placement on the sand bed or lower to mid-level rockwork is generally best, ensuring enough room for their fleshy polyps to expand. They are not typically aggressive with long sweeping tentacles, but their large size requires ample spacing from neighbouring corals to prevent physical irritation. While zooxanthellate, supplemental feeding of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp or copepods a few times a week will promote faster growth and better health. Maintain stable water parameters with calcium at 400-440 ppm, alkalinity 8-9 dKH, and magnesium 1300-1400 ppm.
