At night, it extends short sweeper tentacles from the margins of its septa to capture food particles from the water column, retracting them as the light cycle resumes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn terms of husbandry, this Lobophyllia prefers moderate, indirect lighting with a PAR range between 75 and 150. It thrives under low to moderate flow that provides gentle water movement without folding or tearing its expanded tissue against its sharp internal skeleton. Position it securely on the sandbed or low down on the rockwork, allowing at least ten centimetres of space from neighbouring corals to avoid sweepers touching adjacent species. Target feeding meaty LPS pellets, mysis shrimp, or finely chopped seafood once or twice a week will support tissue health and growth. Maintain stable reef parameters with calcium at 400 to 450 ppm, alkalinity at 8 to 9 dKH, and magnesium between 1300 and 1350 ppm.
