In terms of colour, Hammer Corals are most often seen in shades of brown or green, usually finished with contrasting cream or lighter-coloured tips that provide a pleasant depth and highlight their unique shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor best care, place your Hammer Coral in the lower to middle section of the aquarium where it will receive moderate light, ideally in the 75-150 PAR range. It prefers moderate, indirect water flow that allows the polyps to move gently without being forced back against their sharp skeleton. Like all Euphyllia, Hammer Corals are aggressive and can produce long sweeper tentacles that will sting and damage neighbouring corals. Be sure to provide at least six to eight inches of space on all sides. While photosynthetic, they do appreciate occasional spot-feeding with meaty foods like mysis or specialised LPS pellets.
