When its long, feathery polyps are fully extended, the Devil's Hand has a soft, almost furry texture, swaying gently in the current. The polyps may retract periodically or at night, revealing more of the underlying green skin and changing the coral's entire appearance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCare for the Green Devil's Hand is straightforward in a stable reef environment. It prefers lower to mid-tank placement with moderate lighting, in the range of 100-200 PAR. Water flow should be moderate and indirect, enough to keep the surface clear of detritus but not so strong that it prevents the polyps from extending. While it gets most of its nutrition from light, it appreciates occasional feedings with food designed for filter-feeding soft corals. Like all leather corals, it can release terpenes, so give it a good amount of space to avoid irritating nearby LPS and SPS corals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIts steady growth and unique form make the Devil's Hand an excellent choice for adding structure and movement to the reef. Just be sure to place it in a spot where it will have room to grow and spread over time without shading or chemically impacting its neighbours.
