The polyps of this specimen have defined areas of both red and purple, with the colour intensity often shifting depending on lighting and water parameters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor best care, place your Blasto in a low to moderate light area, with a PAR level between 75 and 150. They require low to moderate indirect water flow, just enough to keep the polyps free of detritus without causing them to retract. While photosynthetic, they benefit from occasional target feeding with small, meaty foods like LPS pellets or mysis shrimp. Maintain stable water parameters, with calcium around 420-440 ppm, alkalinity at 8-9 dKH, and magnesium between 1300-1400 ppm.
