When fully inflated, the polyp will exhibit its full beauty, creating a stunning visual impact. For optimal health, Scolymia require moderate lighting, ideally around 80-150 PAR. While they appreciate some water movement, aim for low to moderate indirect flow to prevent tissue damage. They are best placed on the sand bed or securely on a lower rock ledge where they can fully expand without being overshadowed. Feeding is important for Scolymia growth and vitality. Offer meaty foods like mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or small pieces of fish two to three times a week.
