Their growth habit is encrusting, meaning they will spread over any hard surface they are attached to, which makes them great for adding colour to bare rock or frag plugs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor best results, Zoanthids need moderate lighting, somewhere in the 75-150 PAR range. They are quite adaptable but can lose colour if the light is too low or too high. Water flow should be moderate as well — enough to keep them clean, but not so strong that the polyps are constantly blasted shut. They get most of their nutrition from their symbiotic zooxanthellae, but will benefit from occasional spot feeding with coral-specific foods. Keep standard reef parameters stable: Calcium around 420-440 ppm, alkalinity at 8-9 dKH, and Magnesium at 1300-1400.
