The Red Sea REEFER DC Skimmer Upgrade Kit converts a compatible REEFER AC skimmer to adjustable DC operation with sensor-assisted skimming and ReefBeat control. It is intended for owners who want to retain their existing skimmer body rather than replace the complete unit.
Select the kit that matches your REEFER Skimmer 300, 600 or 900. A ReefRun Dual DC Pump Controller is required and sold separately.

What does the upgrade change?
The DC pump allows adjustable intensity instead of fixed-speed AC operation. Foam sensing helps the system respond to overly wet skimming, while collection-cup sensing adds overflow management. These functions still require correct setup and regular cleaning.
The upgrade does not turn a 300 skimmer body into a 600 or 900. Choose by your existing skimmer model, not by the aquarium size you hope to support.
What is supplied?
The model-specific conversion kit includes the DC pump and the sensor/lid components needed to add DC skimming functions to the compatible REEFER body. The complete skimmer and the required ReefRun controller are separate from this kit.
Before purchasing
Check the model identification on your existing skimmer and select the matching variant. This is not a universal upgrade for other skimmer brands. Confirm that your controller has a suitable available connection and that you can access the skimmer for installation and servicing.
After conversion, follow the installation instructions, establish the appropriate sump water depth and adjust the skimmer rather than transferring assumptions from the previous pump settings. Contact EasternMarine Aquariums with your existing model details when checking compatibility.
