Description
Description
This Green Acropora is a stunning addition to any reef aquarium, displaying a vibrant green coloration that can intensify under proper lighting. Its branching growth habit creates an intricate structure, providing visual interest and potential habitat for small reef inhabitants. The delicate polyps extend to capture food and contribute to the coral's overall health and color.
Acropora thrive in high PAR levels, typically ranging from 300-500. Strong, turbulent flow is essential to prevent detritus accumulation and provide nutrients, but avoid direct, laminar flow that can cause tissue recession. Place this coral in the upper to middle sections of your aquascape where it can receive ample light and flow without being shaded by other corals. Good water parameters are crucial, with stable alkalinity (8-9 dKH), calcium (400-450 ppm), and magnesium (1300-1400 ppm).
While primarily photosynthetic, Green Acropora benefits from supplemental feeding. Offer broadcast feeds of coral-specific foods or fine particulate matter several times a week. Maintain pristine water quality with nitrates below 10 ppm and phosphates below 0.05 ppm. Acropora are generally peaceful but should be given adequate space to grow without touching other corals, as some can be aggressive through sweeper tentacles.
When acclimating, use a drip acclimation method over an hour or two to allow the coral to slowly adjust to your tank's water parameters. Ensure stable temperature and salinity. After acclimation, monitor for any signs of stress or tissue loss. This Acropora is a rewarding coral for experienced reef keepers, offering dynamic growth and brilliant coloration.
Adding this Green Acropora to your tank will create a focal point of vibrant color and intricate structure. Its growth will add to the biodiversity and natural beauty of your reef, contributing to a thriving and aesthetically pleasing underwater ecosystem. With proper care, this coral will flourish and become a cherished part of your aquatic display.
Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
