EasternMarine Aquariums will NOT be?will NOT be held liable for the death of your?livestock sent with overnight courier. This includes parcels going missing or?livestock arriving dead.Same Day Air Freight:?Livestock sent with our same day airfreight service are covered by our arrive alive guarantee,?however please find below some important notes about this policy:
  • The arrive alive guarantee does not cover?flight delays/cancellations. We will ONLY accept a claim if the original flight?routing has been completed and the flights have arrived on time (plus?or minus up to 45?minutes)
  • The customer MUST pick up the consignment from the destination airport within 1 hour of the scheduled arrival/pickup time.
  • Customers MUST alert EasternMarine Aquariums about any dead on arrival within 1 hour of the time of delivery (this will be checked if a claim is lodged)
  • All claims must be lodged using our online claim portal – found at: http://www.easternmarineaquariums.co.nz/pages/doa-claim. Customers MUST fill out the claim portal in full and provide all required information accurately.
  • If a claim is accepted you will be notified within 2 business days of the claim submission date with a coupon code, loaded with the original?amount paid for the dead item(s). You can use this coupon on livestock/products listed on our website.
  • Please DO NOT discard the deceased item without authorization. Doing so will void all guarantees.
  • A digital photograph must be submitted for any covered livestock loss.
  • We do not issue credit for shipping costs or refunds for livestock purchases.
  • Livestock credit is valid for 6 months?from the date it is issued.
  • Livestock credit may be used to replace a lost item or any against any livestock purchase.
  • Refunds are not provided as a substitute for DOA (dead on arrival)?credit.
  • Livestock listed as a Restricted?or High Risk Species are not covered.
All?Dead on Arrival Claims MUST be submitted via?http://www.easternmarineaquariums.co.nz/pages/doa-claimEasternMarine Aquariums prides itself on using superior shipping techniques which have resulted in exceptionally low DOA rates. We use heat packs to help ensure optimum temperature for the fish/coral, we inject pure oxygen into each bag, livestock is bagged separately, and anti ammonia agent is added to the water of fish to ensure ammonia is detoxified and the fish is calmed down during the their journey.?We also only ship fish that are considered healthy enough for shipping.We strongly recommend using same day airfreight when shipping livestock?as this cuts transit times down to 3-6 hours, depending on arrival airport.SECTION 22 -?REFUND INFORMATIONWe do not offer refunds on orders where the customer has changed their minds. If an item is no longer in stock due to death, or is not healthy enough to ship to the customer, we will apply a credit to the customer for the total amount they have paid. When this happens, we will contact the customer ahead of time, and advise them of the situation. They can choose to either have a credit for the amount paid, or select another item as a replacement.Where a dry good has been received as defective, we will fulfil our obligations under the Consumer Guarantee Act to provide a remedy (this is not applicable with livestock).SECTION 21 -?PURCHASES USING LAYBUYAll purchases using LayBuy?are?bound by both EasternMarine Aquariums?
