Australian Holy Grail Morph Torch

The Australian Holy Grail Morph Torch, a variant of Euphyllia glabrescens, is a highly sought-after LPS coral, prized by collectors for its striking appearance and active polyps. Its vibrant colouration and flowing tentacles make it a standout addition in any reef aquarium. This piece measures approximately 11cm. This particular Holy Grail morph displays a captivating blend of hues, often featuring radiant gold and green tentacles that contrast with a deep, rich base. The polyps extend fully under stable conditions, showcasing their characteristic torch-like tips that gently sway in the current. Each polyp head has a distinct oral disc and column, creating an intricate and beautiful display. Torch corals thrive under moderate lighting, ideally between 75 and 150 PAR, and benefit from moderate, indirect water flow to keep their tentacles clean and extended without causing tissue damage. Placement can vary, but typically mid-to-upper tank regions on a stable rock structure are suitable. While primarily photosynthetic, supplemental feeding of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp or copepods a few times a week can enhance growth and vitality. Maintain stable water parameters: calcium at 420-440 ppm, alkalinity at 8-9 dKH, and magnesium at 1300-1400 ppm. Torch corals have long sweeper tentacles that can sting neighbouring corals, so ensure adequate spacing of at least 10cm from other species. Acclimation should be slow and gradual, especially for lighting. A Holy Grail Torch can become a breathtaking centrepiece, adding dynamic movement and colour to your reef tank with its elegant, flowing polyps.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
