Australian Holy Grail Morph Torch

The Australian Holy Grail Morph Torch coral is a distinguished member of the Euphyllia genus, renowned for its dramatic, flowing polyps and vibrant colours. It is a highly sought-after LPS coral in the reef-keeping hobby, celebrated for its striking appearance and lively movement in the aquarium. This piece measures approximately 8cm. This specific morph is known for its particularly intricate colour patterns, which include a blend of radiant hues. The polyps extend from a skeletal base, creating an impressive display as they sway gently with the water flow. The tentacles, which are typically robust and fleshy, often feature bright, contrasting tips, adding to the coral's overall visual appeal. Lighting for a Holy Grail Torch coral should be in the moderate PAR range, around 100-200. While they appreciate good water movement, it should be indirect and laminar, strong enough to keep detritus from settling but not so strong as to cause the polyps to retract or be damaged. Ideal placement is on the sandbed or lower to mid-level rockwork, allowing ample space for polyp extension without touching other corals. They are primarily photosynthetic but will readily accept small meaty foods like mysis shrimp or copepods. Maintain stable water parameters: Calcium 420-440 ppm, Alkalinity 8-9 dKH, and Magnesium 1300-1400 ppm. Torches can be aggressive with long sweeper tentacles at night, so ensure adequate spacing from neighbours. Acclimation should be slow and gradual, especially regarding lighting changes. Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
