Description

The Bali Slimer is a fast-growing, electric green Acropora that instantly commands attention in any reef aquarium. Known for its intense fluorescent coloration and thick branching structure, this coral develops into a striking colony that glows under blue lighting. Its vivid neon tissue combined with contrasting lighter growth tips gives it that unmistakable “highlighter green” look that serious SPS keepers love.

This fragment is an excellent choice for reefers wanting to step into the world of small polyp stony corals or expand their SPS collection with a proven performer. When settled and thriving, the Bali Slimer produces impressive polyp extension and steady vertical growth, quickly transforming from a small frag into a dominant feature coral. Its hardy nature compared to many other Acropora varieties makes it one of the more forgiving SPS options when parameters are stable.

Care Tips:
Provide moderate to high lighting, typically in the range of 250–400 PAR, to maintain its vibrant coloration and encourage compact growth. Strong, turbulent flow is essential to keep the branches clean and support healthy tissue. Maintain stable parameters: alkalinity 7–9 dKH, calcium 400–450 ppm, magnesium 1250–1350 ppm, salinity 34–35 ppt, and low but measurable nutrients (nitrate 2–10 ppm, phosphate 0.02–0.08 ppm). Avoid rapid swings in alkalinity, as Acropora are particularly sensitive to instability.

For best results, mount the frag securely in a high-flow area with good light penetration and allow it time to acclimate. Gradually increase light intensity if moving from lower PAR systems. Regular testing, consistent dosing, and stable nutrient levels will reward you with fast growth, thick branches, and that iconic neon green glow that makes the Bali Slimer a standout in any serious reef display.

Our Quarantine Procedures

We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.

As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.

Payment & Security

We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
