Description
Description
This Green Acropora is a stunning addition to any reef aquarium, showcasing vibrant green branches with delicate structure. Its intricate growth pattern creates a beautiful focal point, providing a lush, natural aesthetic to your underwater landscape. The bright coloration makes it stand out, giving your tank a healthy and thriving appearance. Acropora corals are known for their diversity in shapes and colors, and this green variety is particularly eye-catching. This is a WYSIWYG frag of approximately 1.5 inches.
Care for this Green Acropora involves providing high PAR lighting, ideally between 300-500 PAR, to ensure optimal coloration and growth. Strong, irregular water flow is crucial for SPS corals like Acropora, as it helps prevent detritus buildup and delivers essential nutrients. Proper placement in the tank, typically higher up on the rockwork, will allow it to receive adequate light and flow. Be mindful of its growth potential and provide ample space. Adequate spacing from other corals should be provided since Acropora can be aggressive towards other corals by stinging them.
Acropora corals are primarily photosynthetic, deriving most of their energy from light. However, supplemental feeding with fine particulate foods such as zooplankton or coral-specific foods can enhance growth and overall health. Maintain stable water parameters: salinity at 1.025-1.026, alkalinity at 7.5-9.0 dKH, calcium at 400-450 ppm, and magnesium at 1300-1400 ppm. Consistent parameters are key to preventing stress and promoting vibrant growth. A dosing regimen is usually needed for SPS corals to maintain a stable environment.
When acclimating your new Acropora, use a drip acclimation method over at least 30-60 minutes to slowly adjust it to your tank's water parameters. After acclimation, place it in an appropriate location and monitor it closely for any signs of stress. This Green Acropora is a fantastic choice for experienced reef keepers looking to add a dynamic and beautiful SPS coral to their collection, contributing to a vibrant and thriving reef ecosystem. With proper care, it will flourish and become a centerpiece of your aquatic display.
Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
