Green Bubble Coral

The Green Bubble Coral is a stunning LPS coral known for its large, inflated polyps that resemble bubbles. This particular specimen displays vibrant shades of green, adding a lush and lively appearance to any reef aquarium. When fully extended, the bubbles create an impressive and dynamic display, making it a focal point in your tank. Its unique texture and movement contribute to a diverse and captivating underwater landscape.

This coral thrives under moderate PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) levels, typically between 80-150. It prefers low to moderate indirect flow to prevent damage to its delicate bubble-like polyps. Ideal placement is on the sandbed or lower areas of the rockwork where it can fully expand without being disturbed by other corals. While it hosts zooxanthellae for nutrition, supplemental feeding of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp or brine shrimp once or twice a week is beneficial for optimal health and growth. Maintain stable water parameters: temperature 74-78°F, salinity 1.025-1.026, alkalinity 8-12 dKH, calcium 400-450 ppm and magnesium 1300-1400 ppm.

The Green Bubble Coral is generally peaceful but can extend sweeper tentacles at night, so ensure adequate spacing from other corals to prevent aggression. Acclimation should be done slowly using the drip method over several hours to minimize stress. Observe the coral closely for the first few days, ensuring proper inflation and color retention. A well-maintained environment will allow this coral to flourish and display its full beauty.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
