Description
Description
This Green Cyphastrea features a vibrant green coloration that stands out beautifully against its purple base. The encrusting growth pattern creates a fascinating texture and adds a dynamic visual element to any reef aquarium. Its small, tightly packed polyps give it a delicate yet robust appearance. This coral is an excellent choice for adding a splash of glowing color and intricate detail to your underwater landscape. It is also known to grow quickly once established.
Green Cyphastrea thrives under moderate PAR levels (100-250 PAR) and prefers moderate water flow to keep its polyps extended and free of detritus. Placement on the middle to lower regions of your rockwork is typically ideal, ensuring it receives adequate light without being overwhelmed. Provide stable water parameters: temperature 75-78°F, salinity 1.025-1.026, alkalinity 8-10 dKH, calcium 400-450 ppm, and magnesium 1300-1400 ppm. Consistent dosing of calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium is crucial for optimal growth and coloration.
While primarily photosynthetic, Green Cyphastrea benefits from occasional target feeding of fine planktonic foods or broadcast feeding of reef-specific coral foods. It is a relatively peaceful coral, but it's always wise to leave adequate space between it and other corals, especially those with stinging tentacles, to prevent chemical or physical aggression. Proper acclimation using a drip method over several hours will minimize stress and help it adjust to your tank's conditions.
This Green Cyphastrea is a resilient and rewarding coral for both beginner and experienced reef keepers. Its stunning color and unique texture make it a focal point in any tank. Its relatively easy care requirements and willingness to grow make it an excellent choice for those looking to add a vibrant and captivating SPS coral. Introduce this beautiful Cyphastrea to your reef and watch it flourish into an even more spectacular display of natural artistry and color.
Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
