Description

This Green Acropora is a stunning addition to any reef aquarium, displaying vibrant green polyps over a sturdy branching structure. The tips often show a lighter, almost iridescent hue, providing a beautiful contrast. Its intricate growth pattern adds depth and visual interest to your aquascape, creating a dynamic focal point. This particular specimen is well-colored and shows excellent health, ready to thrive in a stable reef environment. It is a classic example of a highly sought-after SPS coral.

Acropora corals require strong lighting, with PAR levels typically ranging from 250-450. Intense, turbulent water flow is crucial for their health, ensuring nutrient delivery and waste removal. Placement in the upper to middle sections of the tank on stable rockwork is ideal to maximize light exposure and flow. While primarily photosynthetic, supplemental feeding with fine coral foods can enhance growth and coloration. Maintain stable water parameters: Salinity 1.025-1.026, Alkalinity 8-9 dKH, Calcium 420-450 ppm, Magnesium 1300-1400 ppm, and Nitrates/Phosphates as low as possible.

Acropora are generally non-aggressive corals but should be given adequate space from other corals to prevent physical damage or stinging. Allow for several inches of clear space around the colony as it grows. Careful acclimation using a drip acclimation method over an hour or two is recommended to minimize stress. Monitor the coral closely for the first few days after introduction to ensure it is adapting well to its new environment.

This Green Acropora is a fantastic choice for experienced reef keepers looking to add a captivating and challenging coral to their collection. Its rapid growth potential and stunning coloration make it a rewarding specimen to cultivate. Providing the right conditions will allow this coral to flourish, becoming a centerpiece of your thriving reef ecosystem. Its branching morphology will quickly fill out your aquascape, creating a natural and healthy looking environment.

Our Quarantine Procedures

We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.

As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.

Payment & Security

We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.

Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
