Description

This vibrant Green Zoanthid is a stunning addition to any reef aquarium, displaying a beautiful mix of bright green, yellow, and blue hues. Each polyp opens to reveal a captivating star-like pattern, creating a lush, carpet-like appearance as it grows. These soft corals are known for their striking coloration and ability to add dynamic visual interest to both new and established tanks. They are excellent for filling in empty spaces and providing a burst of natural beauty.

Zoanthids thrive under moderate PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) lighting, typically ranging from 75 to 150 PAR. While they can adapt to a range of lighting conditions, too intense light can cause them to close or bleach. Moderate, indirect flow is ideal, allowing the polyps to gently sway and preventing detritus accumulation without causing them to retract constantly. Place them on live rock or in a sandy area where they have room to spread without encroaching on sensitive corals.

Zoanthids are largely photosynthetic, deriving most of their energy from their symbiotic zooxanthellae. While supplemental feeding is not strictly necessary, they will benefit from occasional feedings of very fine zooplankton or coral-specific foods. Maintain stable water parameters: salinity at 1.025-1.026, temperature at 74-78°F, alkalinity 8-12 dKH, calcium 400-450 ppm, and magnesium 1250-1350 ppm. Regular water changes help maintain water quality and provide essential trace elements.

These soft corals are generally peaceful but can sometimes irritate neighboring corals if they grow too close. Provide adequate space for growth and ensure good water circulation around them. When introducing new Zoanthids, a slow drip acclimation over 30-60 minutes is recommended to minimize stress. Always inspect new colonies for pests, particularly Zoanthid-eating nudibranchs or sundial snails, and dip if necessary before introduction to the main display.

Green Zoanthids are celebrated for their ease of care and rapid propagation, making them an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced reef keepers. Their hardiness and dazzling coloration make them a staple in many mixed reef aquariums, offering a low-maintenance way to achieve a thriving, colorful display. They are a true centerpiece that will enhance the beauty and biodiversity of your aquatic environment.

Our Quarantine Procedures

We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.

As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.

Payment & Security

We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
