The Montipora Flaming Phoenix is one of EMA’s signature aquacultured varieties, displaying an intense blend of molten orange tissue and vivid purple polyp clusters. Its thick, bubbly texture and fiery colour contrast make it an unmistakable standout in any SPS or mixed reef aquarium. Under blue lighting, the coral glows with a radiant, almost flame-like vibrancy that truly lives up to its name.

The Flaming Phoenix thrives under moderate to high lighting, where its orange tones intensify and the purple polyps become more pronounced. It prefers moderate to strong, alternating water flow to help maintain its chunky growth pattern while keeping its surface clean. Placement on mid-to-upper rockwork is ideal, giving the coral room to encrust and build its characteristic mounding shape. Although primarily photosynthetic, it may benefit from occasional small-particle coral foods. Stable reef parameters—particularly alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and low nutrients—will support strong growth and colour retention.
