Description
Acropora are one of the most recognized corals in the reef-keeping hobby, forming the backbone of many SPS-dominant systems. Their care requirements have defined what it means to run a high-energy reef tank. This specimen exhibits a classic colour pattern for Australian Acropora, with a mix of green and pink that will develop as it grows and settles into a new system.
Under the right conditions, this coral will develop a traditional branching or tabling growth form. The intensity of its colouration is directly related to water quality and lighting. With strong light, the green base can become more fluorescent while the pink tips deepen in colour. Its small polyps will typically be visible throughout the day in a system with good water flow and stable parameters.
Successfully keeping Acropora requires commitment to stability. This coral needs high light, in the range of 350-500 PAR, along with strong, turbulent water flow to keep its branches clean and deliver nutrients. It should be placed in the middle to upper regions of the tank. While primarily photosynthetic, it will benefit from regular feeding with fine-particle SPS foods or amino acids. Maintain calcium between 420-440 ppm, alkalinity at 8-9 dKH, and magnesium at 1300-1400 ppm. Give it plenty of room to grow and avoid placing it where it can be stung or shaded by other corals.
Growing Acropora is often seen as a benchmark achievement in the hobby. It is not aggressive, but its rapid growth can shade slower-growing neighbours if not managed. In a mature reef, a colony of this coral provides a complex habitat structure that small fish and invertebrates will appreciate. It is a long-term coral for a dedicated reeker.

Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
