Description
Description
Acropora are the classic SPS coral, defining high-energy reef environments. This particular green specimen is a great example of the genus, showing the branching growth form that reef keepers have worked with for decades. It represents a rewarding challenge for the dedicated hobbyist.
This Acropora grows in a classic branching or staghorn shape. Its colouration is a consistent green along the branches, often with slightly paler tips where new growth is occurring. The polyps are small and will extend subtly when the coral is feeding or in comfortable flow, giving the branches a slightly fuzzy appearance. Its growth rate will be directly related to the stability of the aquarium conditions.
SPS corals like this Acropora demand stable conditions. It requires high lighting, in the 250-450 PAR range, to maintain its green colour and support healthy growth. Water flow should be strong and indirect to keep the branches clean without stripping tissue. Place it in the upper regions of the tank, securely glued to the rockwork. Maintain calcium between 420-450 ppm, alkalinity at 8-10 dKH, and magnesium around 1300-1350 ppm. Because Acropora have no defensive tentacles, they can be easily overgrown by more aggressive corals, so give it plenty of space to grow into.
In a mature reef tank with stable parameters, a thriving colony of green Acropora is a significant achievement. It provides a complex structure for fish and invertebrates to interact with and adds an authentic reef-crest feel to the aquascape. Its vertical growth pattern draws the eye upward and helps create a dynamic, multi-layered display.

Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
