Description
Description
Acropora are a cornerstone of the SPS reef aquarium. For many hobbyists, successfully keeping these branching corals represents a major milestone. This particular Acropora demonstrates the classic growth forms and green colouration that make the genus so popular in well-maintained reef systems.
In a home reef, this specimen will develop an open, branching structure. The coral's surface is covered in small polyps that give it a slightly fuzzy texture, especially when extended for feeding. Under the right lighting, the new growth at the branch tips often presents as a lighter, paler shade of the main body, highlighting the coral's development.
Successfully keeping Acropora hinges on stability. They require high light levels, typically in the 250-450 PAR range, so placement in the upper third of the aquarium is ideal. Strong, turbulent water flow is just as important for delivering nutrients and keeping the branches clean. While largely photosynthetic, the coral will benefit from regular dosing of amino acids or feeding with fine particulate SPS foods. Stable water parameters are critical: maintain calcium between 420-440 ppm, alkalinity at 8-9 dKH, and magnesium from 1300-1400 ppm. Acropora are not aggressive, but they need plenty of space to grow without shading or being shaded by their neighbours.
Due to its need for stable, high-energy conditions, this coral is best suited for an established SPS-dominant reef tank. It serves as an excellent centerpiece and provides structural habitat for fish and invertebrates once it begins to grow into a colony.

Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
