Purple & Pink Lobophyllia

Lobophyllia sp. – WYSIWYG (Approx. 6 cm)

This Lobophyllia sp. is a premium large-polyp stony coral known for its thick fleshy tissue, bold patterns, and vibrant colouration. Its deep ridges and strong contrasting tones make it an eye-catching centrepiece in any LPS or mixed reef aquarium. When fully inflated, this piece displays excellent polyp extension and a rich, full appearance.

This listing is WYSIWYG — the exact coral shown in the photos is the one you will receive. The specimen measures approximately 6 cm across when not expanded.

Care Instructions:

• Lighting: Moderate lighting is ideal. Too much intensity can cause tissue recession.

• Flow: Low to moderate, indirect flow helps keep the coral clean while preventing damage to its soft tissue.

• Placement: Place on the sand bed or a flat, stable rock. Provide adequate space from aggressive neighbours.

• Feeding: Benefits greatly from targeted feeding of mysis shrimp, LPS pellets, or other meaty foods.

• Water Parameters: Maintain stable reef conditions (Alkalinity 8–9 dKH, Calcium 420–450 ppm, Magnesium 1300–1400 ppm, Nitrate 5–15 ppm, Phosphate 0.03–0.1 ppm).

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
