Description
Description
Acropora species represent a pinnacle of the reef keeping hobby for many enthusiasts. This particular tabling Acropora is a classic small-polyp stony (SPS) coral that forms a wide, flat plate. Its growth form creates a unique silhouette in a reef aquarium, offering shade and structure for other inhabitants.
This specimen exhibits a deep purple colouration across its branches and base, with growing tips that may appear lighter or even pale blue under intense lighting. In the wild, this tabling shape is an adaptation to maximize sun exposure. In a home reef, it grows outward from a central stalk, with its intricate network of fine branches slowly fusing into a solid plate.
Successfully keeping any Acropora requires a stable, mature reef system. Provide high lighting, in the range of 250-450 PAR, alongside strong, randomized water flow. Place it in the upper half of the tank where it has ample room to expand without shading corals below. Water parameters must be consistent: calcium at 420-440 ppm, alkalinity between 8-10 dKH, and magnesium from 1300-1400 ppm. While photosynthetic, it may benefit from occasional feedings of specialized SPS food. Allow plenty of space around it, as it can be damaged by more aggressive corals.
Growing a large, tabling Acropora colony is a long-term project that brings a great sense of accomplishment. They are best suited for established SPS-dominant aquariums with predictable conditions. Their flat structure offers a fantastic counterpoint to the shapes of branching or encrusting corals, creating a more natural and layered aquascape.

Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
