Description

This stunning Acan Lord features a captivating blend of deep red and vibrant blue coloration, creating a truly unique and eye-catching specimen for your reef aquarium. Its intricate patterns and rich hues will make it a focal point in any setup. This is a WYSIWYG coral, the exact specimen in the picture is what you will receive. This coral will encrust over rock work, so give it adequate space and avoid placing it too near to aggressive corals.

For optimal health and color, Red and Blue Acan Lords thrive under moderate PAR levels (80-150 PAR). Provide moderate, indirect water flow to ensure detritus is removed without irritating the polyps. Placement on the sandbed or lower to mid-rock work is generally ideal, ensuring it receives consistent light and flow without being blasted.

While primarily photosynthetic, Acan Lords benefit greatly from supplemental feeding. Offer small, meaty foods such as copepods, mysis shrimp, or coral pellets a few times a week, ideally when the feeding tentacles are extended. Maintain stable water parameters: alkalinity 8-10 dKH, calcium 400-450 ppm, and magnesium 1250-1350 ppm, with a salinity of 1.025-1.026 and temperature of 75-78F.

Acan Lords are generally peaceful but can extend sweeper tentacles at night. Maintain adequate spacing from other corals, especially aggressive species, to prevent territorial disputes. Acclimation should be slow and gradual using a drip acclimation method over an hour or more, especially for new arrivals, to minimize stress and allow the coral to adjust to its new environment.

This Red and Blue Acan Lord is an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced reef keepers looking to add a splash of color and unique texture to their tank. Its relatively easy care requirements and striking appearance make it a highly desirable addition, promising to bring beauty and vitality to your underwater landscape.

Our Quarantine Procedures

We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.

As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.

Payment & Security

We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.

Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
