Description

Toxic Green Long Tentacle Anemone (LTA)

Bring serious movement and neon colour to your reef with the Toxic Green Long Tentacle Anemone. With long, flowing tentacles and an intense green glow under blue lighting, it’s the kind of centerpiece animal that instantly upgrades the look of a tank. Long Tentacle Anemones are known for their “waving meadow” vibe and can become a stunning home base for compatible clownfish once settled.

This anemone is best suited to intermediate reefkeepers and performs best in mature, stable systems. Consistent parameters and a calm acclimation period make a big difference to long-term success.

Long Tentacle Anemones naturally bury their foot deep into sand and anchor against rock below, so a deeper sand bed is strongly recommended. Provide moderate, indirect flow that gently moves the tentacles without blasting the animal, and moderate-to-strong lighting with a slow acclimation if your lighting is intense. Like most anemones, it may move around until it finds the spot it likes, so leave space and avoid placing it too close to corals.

While it gains much of its energy from light, it will thrive with supplemental feeding. Offering small meaty foods one to two times per week can help maintain colour, growth, and overall vitality. Keep portions small to avoid regurgitation or stress.

A mature reef system is recommended, ideally six months or older, with stable temperature and salinity. Maintain reef-level parameters with stable alkalinity and avoid sudden swings. Low nutrients are preferred, but extremely “sterile” systems can be less forgiving—stability matters most.

This species can sting corals within reach, so allow generous clearance. It’s also important to protect pump and powerhead intakes, as anemones can wander and an uncovered intake can cause serious harm.

You’ll receive a healthy Toxic Green Long Tentacle Anemone with strong colour potential. Like all anemones, it may look slightly different during shipping and settling, and it’s normal for it to tighten up or shift position as it acclimates and chooses its home.

Our Quarantine Procedures

We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.

As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.

Payment & Security

We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
