Description

Ultra Grade Scolymia vitensis – WYSIWYG (Approx. 7cm Across)

This Ultra Grade Scolymia vitensis is a stunning showpiece specimen displaying an exceptional blend of vibrant colours that shift beautifully under reef lighting. Rich reds, deep blues, electric oranges, and subtle iridescent greens merge across its surface, forming the classic swirling pattern that Scolymia are known and loved for. Each ridge and polyp zone catches the light differently, giving this coral a dramatic three-dimensional presence that changes as it inflates and relaxes throughout the day.

At approximately 7cm across, this is a substantial, high-quality piece suitable as a focal coral in any LPS or mixed reef system. Its plump tissue, even symmetry, and intense pigmentation reflect excellent health and premium grade status. As a WYSIWYG listing, the exact coral photographed is the one you will receive, ensuring complete confidence in the colour and quality of the specimen.

This Scolymia thrives in lower to moderate lighting with gentle, indirect flow. Once settled, it develops full inflation and displays even richer saturation. Placement on the sand bed or a stable, flat rock is ideal. It benefits from occasional target feeding of LPS-appropriate foods, though it remains primarily photosynthetic and easy to care for with stable reef parameters.

A truly eye-catching Ultra Grade Scolymia vitensis, perfect for collectors and reef keepers seeking a rare, high-impact coral that brings immediate colour and elegance to their aquarium.

Our Quarantine Procedures

We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.

As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.

Fish

All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.

Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.

During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.

Coral

Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.

Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed

If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
