Description
Description
This Lobo Brain coral boasts an impressive color combination of purples, blues, and greens, creating a truly unique and captivating display. Its fleshy polyps create a wavy, textured appearance, adding depth and visual interest to any reef aquarium. This coral is a standout piece that will be a focal point in your tank.
Lobo Brain corals thrive under moderate PAR (100-200) and gentle to moderate flow. Place this coral on your sandbed or securely on a lower rockwork area where it can expand without touching other corals. Its lower light and flow requirements make it a relatively easy coral to care for.
While largely photosynthetic, supplemental feeding can encourage faster growth and vibrant coloration. Offer small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or specialized coral foods a few times a week. Target feeding after lights out is often most effective as polyps will be extended.
Maintain stable water parameters for optimal health: Temperature 74-78°F, Salinity 1.025-1.026, Alkalinity 8-10 dKH, Calcium 400-450 ppm, and Magnesium 1300-1400 ppm. Lobo Brains are generally peaceful but can extend sweeper tentacles at night, so ensure adequate space between them and neighboring corals. Acclimate slowly using a drip acclimation method over at least 30 minutes to an hour to minimize stress.
This Lobo Brain is an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced reef keepers looking to add a splash of color and unique texture to their aquarium. Its relatively easy care and stunning appearance make it a rewarding addition that will enhance the beauty of your underwater world for years to come.
Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
