Description
Description
This WYSIWYG grouping of Mushroom Corals offers a vibrant display of color and texture for any reef aquarium. Characterized by their fleshy, disc-like bodies, these mushrooms adhere to the rockwork, creating a natural, undulating carpet. The collection includes striking blue, vivid green, and deep red varieties, all healthy and fully expanded, ready to instantly transform your aquascape.
Mushroom corals are incredibly easy to care for, making them an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced reef keepers. They thrive under low to moderate PAR (50-100 PAR) and prefer low to moderate water flow, which encourages their full expansion. Placement on the bottom or middle of the rockwork or substrate is ideal. While largely photosynthetic, occasional feeding with small particulate foods like zooplankton or marine snow can enhance growth and coloration.
Maintaining stable water parameters is key for mushroom corals, though they are quite forgiving. Aim for temperatures between 74-78ยฐF, salinity at 1.025-1.026 specific gravity, alkalinity at 8-12 dKH, calcium at 400-450 ppm, and magnesium at 1250-1350 ppm. Regular water changes are often sufficient for their nutrient needs.
These soft corals are generally peaceful and pose little threat to other inhabitants. However, it is wise to provide some space between them and more aggressive corals to prevent stinging. Acclimation should be done gradually using a drip acclimation method over an hour to allow them to adjust to new water parameters without stress. Once settled, they will readily attach to the rock and begin to multiply.
Adding this WYSIWYG Mushroom Coral cluster is a fantastic way to introduce a burst of color and dynamic movement to your reef tank. Their low maintenance requirements, peaceful nature, and captivating appearance make them a truly rewarding addition, perfect for creating an eye-catching focal point or filling in bare patches on your live rock.
Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
