Description
Description
The Red Sea REEF-FRAME 250 offers a 90 cm-long saltwater display with room for a wider aquascape than the compact 170. Supplied with a cabinet, sump and plumbing, it lets you build the equipment package around the corals you plan to keep.
This listing is for the standard REEF-FRAME system, not the MAX bundle. Choose a Black, White or Oak cabinet finish.
A reef system you can equip your way
The eurobraced upper perimeter adds reinforcement to the ultra-clear glass display. Beneath it, a plywood cabinet supports the aquarium and keeps the sump out of sight. The 90 cm format gives you scope for separated rock structures while leaving access for glass cleaning and coral growth.
The central overflow includes removable comb sections. A ReefGate valve allows fine drain adjustment, and the 25 mm return outlet directs water back into the display. The removable mechanical filtration section is designed to accommodate a compatible ReefMat later; the roller filter itself is an optional purchase.
Specifications
| Nominal total system volume | 246 L |
|---|---|
| Display / sump water volume | 204 L / 42 L |
| Display dimensions, length × width × height | 90 × 53 × 50 cm |
| Overall system height, without lighting | 137 cm |
| Return outlet | 1 × 25 mm |
| Cabinet finish options | Black, White or Oak |
Water volumes are nominal; the usable volume depends on your rockwork, sand and operating levels. Oak is a cabinet finish, not solid-oak construction.
Included with the aquarium
REEF-FRAME 250 glass display, cabinet in the selected finish, in-cabinet sump, factory plumbing with ReefGate valve and return outlet, and supplied mechanical filtration components.
Equipment to budget for separately
Lighting and mounts, return and circulation pumps, skimmer, heater, automatic top-off system and monitoring equipment are not included. A ReefMat roller filter is also separate. Plan for salt, rock, sand, water preparation and test equipment before adding livestock.
Before ordering
Compare the complete installed footprint, not just the 90 cm display length. Leave space for cabinet doors, electrical connections and equipment removal. EasternMarine Aquariums can help with equipment selection; please confirm availability, aquarium freight and New Zealand warranty and registration terms before purchase.
Our Quarantine Procedures
Our Quarantine Procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
Fish
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Coral
Our coral is quarantined for a minimum of 3 weeks, just like fish. During this time, regular water changes are performed, water testing done, and once a month a Fauna Marin ICP Total is performed.
Corals are inspected for pests/general health and are provided with a pest dip once a week for at least 3 weeks.
If we see signs of pests, the quarantine period is extended and/or additional dips are performed
If coral is bleached/unhealthy, it will remain in quarantine until healthy enough to sell.
Payment & Security
We offer a number of different payment methods, including Credit Card, Afterpay, Q Card, Pay at Collection, Bank Transfer and POLi.
Credit card payments are processed securely using the highest possible security protocols.
