JBL Maris 250ml has all the minerals, vitamins essential for healthy captive marine fish. The protein content in this food comes mainly from salmon fillet trimmings. Actual salmon fillet, intended for human consumption get tided around the edges before packing. JBL acquire the trimmings and prosses it into fish foods. Most other flake or pellet foods use fish meal because its cheap but it is also full of phosphates from the high bone content. Of course we do not want to add more phosphate to the fish’s diet than absolutely necessary as the extra phosphate causes algae and we spend fortunes getting it back out.
