Description
Description
A dependable salt for regular reef water changes. D-D H2Ocean Classic Pro Reef Salt starts with a natural, solar-evaporated salt base, enhanced with calcium and magnesium to help replenish the elements used by growing corals and coralline algae.
The Classic formula is designed for reef aquariums maintained through regular partial water changes. It mixes quickly and provides elevated, balanced major elements. Reefs with a higher calcium and alkalinity demand may still need supplementation between changes.
Why choose H2Ocean Classic?
- 23 kg bucket for regular reef aquarium maintenance.
- Natural salt base produced through solar evaporation.
- Enhanced calcium and magnesium for water-change replenishment.
- Manufacturer-stated yield of approximately 592–702 litres, depending on salinity.
Typical water parameters
Manufacturer values when correctly mixed to 35 ppt salinity (SG 1.0264 at 25°C).
| Parameter | Typical level | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Alkalinity | 9.8 dKH | 9.3–10.3 dKH |
| Calcium | 440 mg/L | 420–460 mg/L |
| Magnesium | 1,340 mg/L | 1,300–1,380 mg/L |
| Potassium | 410 mg/L | 390–430 mg/L |
| pH | 8.3 | 8.2–8.4 |
Mixing guidance
Use RO water and always add salt to water. D-D recommends starting with 1 kg per 25.77 litres, then checking and adjusting salinity. Mix thoroughly and aerate before use. Stir the dry bucket contents before taking a partial amount, as material can settle during transport. Never add dry salt directly to an aquarium containing livestock.
