Our quarantine procedures
Our quarantine procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Description
Description
The Ultra Green Carpet Anemone, Stichodactyla haddoni, has a broad disc covered in short, densely packed tentacles. Its vivid green colour and expanding form make it a prominent animal in a suitably spacious marine aquarium.
Placement and care
- Best suited to experienced keepers with a mature, stable system.
- Provide strong reef lighting, introduced gradually, and moderate indirect flow.
- A deep sand bed allows the foot to bury and attach securely below the surface.
- Guard pump intakes and allow room for movement and expansion.
Feeding
Offer small pieces of suitable raw marine food, such as prawn or fish. Avoid oversized portions and remove uneaten food.
Compatibility
Its strong sting can damage neighbouring corals and capture fish. It may host compatible clownfish, but hosting is not guaranteed. Choose tankmates and placement carefully.
What you will receive
Sold individually. Colour, shape and expansion vary between specimens and under different aquarium lighting.
