Our quarantine procedures
Our quarantine procedures
We take livestock seriously. That's why we don't sell anything we wouldn't be comfortable putting in our own tank.
As we are direct from source, we import and sell direct to the public. This means you can buy with confidence knowing EMA prides itself on excellent handling and conditioning protocols.
All our fish held in a quarantine system for a minimum of 3 weeks. During this time, regular water changes are performed, and twice daily (or sometimes more) feedings are performed.
Copper is dosed and checked twice a day for ich and velvet.
During this treatment fish are given formalin baths for brooklynella and a minimum of 3 praziquantel doses is performed for flukes.
Description
Description
The Warpaint Bowerbanki has contrasting colour patches across broad, fleshy polyps. It is an encrusting LPS that needs both physical space and a generous gap from neighbours.
Placement and care
- Lighting: Low to moderate reef lighting, with gradual acclimation.
- Flow: Gentle to moderate indirect flow.
- Placement: Secure the base on lower rockwork or a suitable support. Give the colony generous space because feeding and defensive tentacles can damage neighbours.
Keep salinity and temperature stable and monitor alkalinity, calcium and magnesium as the coral grows.
Feeding and maintenance
Small meaty foods can be offered to receptive polyps. Feed modest amounts and allow for tissue expansion and outward growth.
What you will receive
Approximate listed size: 7 cm.
WYSIWYG: you will receive the exact coral shown in the product photograph.
Colour varies with aquarium lighting and screen settings. Size is a guide, and polyp expansion changes through the day.
